The Veneer Procedure
Your dentist may use veneers to treat broken, fractured, or otherwise damaged teeth. Each veneer will be customized to fit your tooth perfectly and help to bolster its aesthetic appearance as well as its functionality. If you have any cracked or damaged teeth, you may want to talk to your dentist about this treatment. In the meantime, keep reading for your own personal guide through the veneer procedure.
The first step in any dental procedure is to meet with your dentist in Damascus for an initial consultation. This will allow the two of you to discuss the issue and come up with the optimal treatment plan. Once you have decided that veneers are right for you, your dentist must prepare your teeth for your new veneers. In doing so he or she will remove a small amount of enamel from the surface of your tooth. This will create the necessary room for your veneer to be placed. It is important to note that this cannot be reversed. Your dentist will then make a mold of your teeth and the laboratory will create your veneer. At your next appointment your dentist will place your permanent veneer on top of your prepared tooth.
